About the event
Three comics, who have all major TV experience are coming to Otter on the Rocks on July 17. Emmet Montgomery (Last Comic Standing), Erin Ingle (Comedy Central) and Jono Zalay (Late Late Show with James Cordon) are all coming to make you laugh. What a lineup sponsored by Origins Cannabis!
Emmett Montomery
Utah born, Seattle based storyteller and comedian, Emmett Montgomery has been failing beautifully on and off the stage for almost two decades and has been voted by the readers of Seattle Weekly as Seattle's Best Comic 2015, 2017 and 2018 (it wasn't a category in 2016) and was one of the top 100 on Season 9 of NBCs Last Comic Standing. He produces, hosts and curates the comedy showcase Joketellers Union at Clockout Lounge on Wednesdays with comedian and comix artist Brett Hamil and is a regular host of The Moth Seattle and has been a featured guest at dozens of arts and comedy festivals across the North American continent.
In addition to stand-up, he enjoys doing neat things like telling sad stories on podcasts, giving color commentary at indie pro wrestling shows, teaching storytelling and public speaking workshops for the formerly homeless, and putting on footie pajamas with Santa Claus faces for feet and educating people about the fun nightmare of Christmas as Sugar Plum Gary for his critically acclaimed cosmic horror holiday show. He believes that the best comedy comes from a place of community, kindness and strangeness. Mr. Montgomery lives in Seattle with his wife, who is beautiful, and his young daughter Carmen who is some sort of chihuahua (probably.)
Erin Ingle
Erin Ingle may just be Seattle's tenderest feminist, with comedy that's equal parts joy and judgment. Erin has been performing stand-up since 2012 and currently headlines around the PNW. Erin has been featured on Comedy Central, NBC, and at the “10,000 Laughs,” and “Laugh Your Asheville Off” comedy festivals, and her monthly comedy Q&A show "Is This Normal?" brings in a regular cult crowd. She hopes one day to be friends with someone who owns a glamorous boat.
Jono Zalay
Jono Zalay began his standup career in Boston, while simultaneously earning his Doctorate in Neuroscience (he gave cocaine to rats). Since dropping his science hobby to pursue comedy full time, Jono has performed on The Late Late Show, been named one of Comedy Central’s ‘Comics to Watch,’ and earned international press for his pranks on the DMV. Jono now lives in Los Angeles where he performs standup and writes for TV, including series airing on ABC/Hulu, Amazon, & CNN.
