COZY COMEDY CLASS
Want to Learn Standup Comedy?
We are bringing a unique opportunity to learn from some of the best comedians in the Pacific Northwest as well as Cozy Comedy’s owners, Travis Sherer and Marcus Moreno. We will teach you the business of standup comedy, joke writing, stage presence/performance, and finding your voice.
The class will consist of 4 classroom sessions at Seattle Central Community College, and one classroom graduation show at the prestigious Unexpected Productions Theatre in downtown Seattle!
Taking this class will give you a 1-2 year headstart!
MEET OUR TEACHERS

Susan Rice
Susan has been performing standup comedy for 40 years. She's worked with legends George Carlin, Jerry Seinfeld, Lewis Black and more.
A legend in the Pacific Northwest, Susan's career has taken off lately, with a Don't Tell Comedy special viewed more than 2 million times! She has auditioned for America's Got Talent and will be teaching stage presence.

Monica Nevi
Monica Nevi will be teaching the business side of comedy. Monica has self-produced two award-winning comedy specials that have reached No. 1 on the iTunes comedy chart. She tours nationally and started a non-profit to help comedians in Washington state.

Travis Sherer
A co-founder of Cozy Comedy, Travis is approaching 10 years in the business. He has been producing standup shows all over Washington state since 2018. He performs all over the PNW as well as regularly in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York.
Travis will teach some of the very basics on each topic to start the class.

Andrew Frank
Andrew has been teaching a comedy class at Laughs Comedy Club for years. They are an award-winning comedian with a unique perspective and a passion for assisting artists in finding their voice, which is what they will be teaching.
Andrew has performed a one-person show at Edinburgh Fringe multiple years.

Tim Kelleher
Tim has a long career in comedy that has taken detours in performing and writing. After a successful touring career in standup decades ago, Tim took a job writing for "In Living Color," which blossomed into a career of its own. He wrote for movies that starred Kevin Hart, Sinbad, Sylvestor Stallone and Rober De Niro. He was also a staff writer for "Two and a Half Men."

Marcus Moreno
Marcus is a co-founder of Cozy Comedy. Although it came later in life, Marc hit the ground running in comedy, now headlining in the PNW and producing over 100 shows per year.
Marcus is dedicated to making shows as accessible and representative as possible for both the audience and the comedian.
